Sterling, Virginia – Submarine Telecoms Forum, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of the 54th edition of the Submarine Cable Almanac, a special SubOptic 2025 edition styled after our historical Submarine Cables of the World print map. Attendees of the SubOptic 2025 conference will receive a limited print edition, continuing our legacy of delivering high-quality reference tools for the submarine cable industry.
This issue features data on over 500 current and planned submarine cable systems, with 4 newly added systems and 10 updated systems since the previous edition. Reflecting the structure introduced in last year’s May issue, the Almanac is organized by geographic region, offering a clear view of infrastructure distribution, regional development patterns, and deployment activity across the globe.

It tracks active and planned systems worldwide, along with owners, landing points, and technical specifications. All maps featured in the Almanac are produced using ArcGIS Pro, maintaining alignment with the cartographic standards of our global print map series.
